Vinny Yackanin knows Tucson real estate. Not only has he resided in the area for the last 40 years, but he has also been a licensed realtor in Tucson since 1979 and a multi-million dollar producer since 1982. Like many people in colder climates, Yackanin left his native Long Island, New York, in 1975 to pursue the warmer weather of the Sonoran Desert. “I came out here to get out of the freezing winters and the humidity,” said Yackanin, who discovered the beauty of Tucson and the surrounding area upon his arrival. Real estate became Yackanin’s calling while recovering from an injury sustained working construction. He pursued his license as a realtor and Tucson quickly became his forte. Since his start in real estate, Yackanin has earned a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation and an Accredited Buyer Representation (ABR) certification, which allows him to work with both buyers and sellers. He has been awarded a coveted accreditation award by the Realtors National Marketing Institute and since 1998, has ranked among the top one percent of realtors in Tucson. In 2006, he earned Long Realty’s most distinguished award as the Long Realty 1926 Circle of Excellence recipient. In the 35 years Yackanin has been in real estate in Tucson, he has acquired an abundance of experience and knowledge he shares with his clientele.
