I’m a people person. For years I’ve done volunteer work and I’ve been a substitute teacher. The same skills are needed in real estate: communicating, having empathy, working with others, performing well under stress, and attending to details. That’s me.

And I love my job! Enjoying your work is a key to success; in my first year, I was “Rookie of the Year” at Long Realty’s Foothills office. The following year I won “Pro of the Year” for the office, and I’ve often been among the company’s top 26 sales producers. More than 90 percent of my business is from repeat clients and referrals.

Because I care about my clients, I spot issues that can become problems and I’m tenacious at finding solutions. But not every transaction is problematic. Once I hosted a wedding ceremony and reception for a client and her new husband. They met while we were house-hunting for her, and wound up buying a home together.

My family moved to Tucson in a temporary corporate move, but we decided to stay (and who wouldn’t?). That experience led me to focus on relocations. Once I was the sole REALTOR® helping about a dozen managers and executives for a large company as they transferred to Tucson. We located and purchased homes, visited schools, and explored shopping areas and local attractions. A few years later I worked with another group from the same company. Talk about repeat business!

Friends say I’m loyal and hard-working and I like stability. I’ve been in real estate since 1990 and my entire career has been with the Foothills office. But, for me, people always come first. When a son was diagnosed with cancer, I didn’t hesitate to put helping him ahead of my career. He’s now cancer-free and healthy, happy, and productive. And so am I!
