Tony Finley is the Chief Financial Officer of the Long Companies. He is responsible for the company’s financial management activities, operations, facilities management, and information technology which comprises telecommunications services, network infrastructure and data center management. In addition, he leads the budgeting and strategic planning activities for the organization. Prior to joining the Long Companies in 2007, Tony served in financial leadership positions with Ventana Medical Systems, and B/E Aerospace.
As an active member of the Tucson community, Tony is currently the Chairman of Board of Directors for the Tucson Airport Authority and a Public Member on the Board of Governors for the State Bar of Arizona. In addition, he was an active participant in the 96th Arizona Town Hall, “Building Arizona’s Future: Jobs Innovation and Competitiveness” and is a member Financial Executives and Affiliates of Tucson. Tony is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, the National Black MBA Association, and the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity.
Tony has made financial literacy and education his personal mission. He has developed and taught free financial workshops for individuals and organizations including the University of Arizona, Tucson Unified School District and the Tucson Urban League. He received an FBI Community Service Award for his work on financial literacy.
Tony holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is Certified Public Accountant and a licensed Realtor. As a certified Microsoft Excel expert, Tony has taught several classes to local finance and real estate professionals on Excel’s advanced features, productivity tools and business modeling capabilities.
Tony and his wife Nicola reside in North Tucson with their daughter. He enjoys several active activities and is currently focused on triathlons (swimming, cycling and running).
