Managing Winter Pests

November 27, 2013

As cooler temperatures arrive in Southern Arizona, we begin to see a change in insect and rodent activity around our homes. Most insects do not die off during the winter months, but actually overwinter (a form of hibernation) in and around your home which provides warmth and shelter. Rodents (most specifically pack rats) will become more active and often seek warmth and shelter in homes, attics, garages, bbq grills, car engines, etc. Because of these behaviors, this is the most important time of year to have pest preventative services at your home. By addressing rodent and insect entry points around your structure, we are able to keep these pests at bay both now and when spring temperatures send these critters into overdrive. Being proactive keeps you and your family protected from unwanted pests, and any applications of pesticides outside where they belong!
